Creative Tuesdays

"The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, educations, backgrounds, or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before. Creation brings deep satisfaction and fulfillment. We develop ourselves and others when we take unorganized matter into our hands and mold it into something of beauty....President Brigham Young spoke to the Saints of his day..."There is a great work for the Saints to do," he said. "Progress, and improve upon and make beautiful everything around you. Cultivate the earth, and cultivate your minds. Build cities, adorn your habitations, make gardens, orchards, and vineyards, and render the earth so pleasant that when you look upon your labors you may do so with pleasure, and that angels may delight to come and visit your beautiful locations."
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Women are creators! It is in our nature. I have decided to have 'Creative Tuesdays' and I want your help. I want you to share things that you or women you know create. You can email it to me at lashermary@gmail.com. It can be anything from a delicious recipe you made to a smile that you created on someone's face. Read President Uchtdorf's talk 'Happiness, Your Heritage' (by clicking on the link under Good Words That Inspire) to get some ideas. I look forward to being inspired by you!!

Today i created a huge smile on the face of the person that means the most to me on this planet...(my darling husband). He has been longing for a certain object ever since it came on the market. He asked me today, while shopping with him, what i thought about him buying this object now. (It costs a few pennies so he was concerned.) I told him i thought he should follow his heart and i would support him 1000% maybe more! He still can't wipe the smile off his face and has told me over and over,"thank you for your support. You made it possible for me to move forward." Such a simple thing and soooo much happiness.
Earlier i was getting my nails done and had occasion to speak to my beloved several times on the phone while sitting there being pampered. Before i left, the beautician commented to me..."you make me smile sooo much because of how you always say "I love you!" to your husband before you say goodby. You two are soo cute to each other. You're just like newly weds. You make me so happy and make me want to be just like that when I am "old".
I love to create smiles as much as sewing, cooking, painting, designing, playing, gardening etc. etc.
how bout every day is "Creative Tuesday"...?
How about Service Monday? Just a thought.
I love you creating this blog every day and making me smile every time i think of it.
xoxoxoxo to you Marygirl.

Today I created a spaghetti pie for a family up the street who just had a baby. It's one of my best recipes (easy, too) and I think it really surprised them that we brought them dinner. Today was a really hard day for me and it really helped to turn focus from me and offer up a little creation for someone else that I barely know. I also created a smile on my 4 year old daughters face several times today when I watched her dance for me about a dozen different times throughout the day (and applauded her each time) and then played board games with her...Life, Candy Land, and Memory. And, already she is creating things of her own that bless my life...like the hope that things will be ok, and that all of this will be worth it in the end because my blessings far outweigh my challenges right now, and always will. Great idea, Mary! Love you!
