I want to shout from the mountaintops how grateful I am to be a woman!! I am so grateful for our responsibilities as women. One of the most important ones that we have is of setting the tone and atmosphere in our homes. The world is a scary place sometimes, full of fear and anxiety, but ours is the great priviledge to build a haven for our families. A haven filled with light and peace and faith and love! That's our job! Isn't it fantastic?! For by doing this, we not only bless our families, but we learn how to receive revelation and inspiration and draw closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ every day...just by fulfilling our role as a woman. I was reading this morning in the Book of Mormon about faith. In Moroni 7:33 it reads, "If ye will have faith in me, ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me." I was hit with the impression of how much power the faith of a woman has to bless her family and the world. I love the power that faith in Jesus Christ brings. We live in a world dominated by fear and uncertainty...but as women of Christ, we certainly have no need to fear! We can and should see all the great good that there is in the world, and create that good in our homes. What a remarkable blessing it is to be a woman!

I totally forgot you started this blog until today! I'm so glad you did! This is so you Mary. I love your positive attitude and perspective and your creativity!! It's inspiring to me!!
You know the old saying, "If mommy ain't happy, then nobody is happy." I think this applies. =o) It's a huge responsibility to keep the peace in the home. It needs to be our heaven on earth. We need to be that spiritual leader to make sure everyone who enters our doors can feel the spirit.
YUP! YUP! yup! ahuh ahuh ahuh....AMEN
It is good to be a woman. Our responsibilities are at least equal to men...just gloriously different. Thank you Father! forever and ever!!!
When someone does enter your home and tells you that they feel the peacefulness in your home. Are you surprised or did you know that you have a peace of heaven right in your home?
Do you know what they are talking about? Or are you thinking of the time you had just gotten upset with a member of your family?
I had this happen to me and I was thankful to be reminded that if you will do what I ask of you, I will bless you.
That was a wonderful blessing to have a colleague from work comment on the peace in our home. That I could testify that our home is a place away from the world of chaos. There is peace in our home and I was told by a visitor.
We need be reminded that we are trying and that we are doing a wonderful job as women in these latter-days.
We just need to hang on and do what is right to always have these blessings and that our children will teach the next generations and that there will be peace and love in their homes.
Yes! You are all so right....thank you for your testimonies and your strength. I love you all!
